BCB Treasurer Anil Beharry declared the seminar open and his message was focused on leading by example and always striving for excellence. Beharry urged the youths to take advantage of the numerous opportunities being presented to them by the BCB to improve themselves. The youth’s benefitted from several lectures and they were also involved in group discussions.

Phase two of the programme would include seminars to improve their knowledge of the game and personal responsibility. Another segment of this phase would be the Annual Cricket Academy to identify and correct technique and matches to expose the cricketers to a higher level of play.
All the captains agreed at the end of the seminar that it was a total success and they were better prepared to perform their duties at the different levels.
Among the participants were Shemaine Campbell, Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai, Quacy McPherson, Shimron Hetmyer, Shailendra Shameer, Veerapen Permaul and Parmanand Narine.
