The 34th consecutive National Sports Commission (NSC) sponsored ‘Teach Them Young’ cycling programme organised by National Coach Hassan Mohamed MS, is set to pedal off on July 12 at the National Park.
The eight-week programme which has produced dozens of Guyana’s best riders including the current crop, the likes of Warren Mc Kay, Christopher Holder, Geron Williams, Alonzo Greaves, Robin Persaud, Junior Niles, Ian Jackson and Jude Bentley among others, will conclude on September 4.
Coaching sessions will be conducted from Monday to Friday during 09:00 – 11:30hrs.
The Programme is open to all school boys and girls, beginners and others interested in developing their skills. Interested riders must be equipped with a cycle (BMX, Mountain and Racing Cycles) along with protective head gear. The programme is free of cost.
