Despite the stringent measures in place, persons in the narcotic trade seem hell bent on trying to smuggle the illegal substance out of the country.
On Friday, another person was caught at the General Post Office Corporation trying to post a package with cocaine concealed in it.
Reports are that some time around noon a man was attempting to mail a box filled with condiments to a destination in the United States. However, a thorough search by Customs Anti Narcotics Ranks Unit unearthed a white powdery substance in the cardboard box.
The substance was subsequently tested positive as cocaine.
The person who was attempting to post the box was immediately taken into police custody and is expected in court on Monday.
Over the past few weeks, several persons have been intercepted at various ports attempting to smuggle the controlled substance out of the country by one means or another.
