The National Media team, which will play an exhibition match against West Demerara’s McGill Superstars for a $50,000 winner take all prize at the Guyana National Stadium on July 4, has been named.
The Media match will be contested just before the final of the 2nd annual DJ Stress 20/20 tournament and former Guyana off-spinner Sean Devers will lead the side with former Essequibo youth batsman Rovindra Madholall as his deputy.
The 17-man media squad will have a practice session today at the indoor facility at LBI and another practice session on Saturday. The media workers are hoping to play a practice match next week as they intensify preparations for their match.
Former Guyana medium pacer Roddy Lovell, who works for Radio during local cricket matches has made himself available while Radio scorer Barath Mangru, who played with the Media team in their last match, has withdrawn to Manage the Gizmos & Gadgets Georgetown Pit Bull in the same competition.
