AN Electronics has thrown its support behind a two-team 25-over softball match to be played shortly at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda.
The two teams will vie for a trophy, while man-of-the-match will also take home one, compliments of AN Electronics, the retail and wholesale store located at 30 North Road Bourda, Georgetown.
Stabroek Market will come against AN Titans, and a keen contest is anticipated when the action gets cracking from 18:30hrs. The match was scheduled for Saturday night, but owing to the unavailability of the ground, a new date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, organizer of the game, Royston “Don” Ramsarran indicated that both teams are in preparation for the contest. He further stated that once the venue is available, the game will get going.
Stabroek Market, who recently beat Young Guns, will be looking to continue their dominance in the softball arena, according to the manager/player Ramsarran, while on the other hand, AN Titans are anxious to halt their progress.
A representative of AN Electronics, Lubert Munroe, handed over the sponsorship cheque and said he was pleased to come on board for the game.
Ramsarran, in his remarks, thanked AN Electronics for its support, and promised to make the event a success.
