THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!! Touted as the next President of the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Commissioner of Police, Henry Greene (centre) was snapped paying keen attention to GTTA General Secretary, Godfrey Munroe (right) with Director of Sport, Neil Kumar trying to get the attention of the officials at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall last Friday when the association held its Award Ceremony for the Independence tournament.
Greene wielded spin on the other contenders for the Presidency when he doled out $250,000 for six players, with two of them getting $25,000 and the other four, $50,000 for their performances in the tournament.
Kumar had been a key stakeholder for the sport over years and had called for firm leadership during his speech.
The GTTA General Elections are imminent and from all indications, Greene seems set to take the top post, barring any major upset.
