GRFU’S to participate in Olympic Day activities today

The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has been invited to join in celebrating Olympic Day today under the theme MOVE AND DISCOVER – To be reflected in the different ages and stages of participation coupled with individual and game development.
The GRFU will participate in the activities by having its local rugby programme coincide with the Olympic Day programme.
The activities will see: the 7’s Men’s and Women’s Teams Training starting at 10:00hrs at the National Park Rugby Field featuring three teams.  Six games will be contested with some 45 players on show.
A Youth Match involving the National U-19 team versus a Select Fifteen has been fixed for 10:30hrs at the Park and will see 40 young players on show.
The general public is encouraged to come out and share the experience.
