Police attached at the Parika Police Station, yesterday, located the two Charity Secondary School students, aged 16 and 17, who went missing after leaving the Essequibo Coast for a trip to the city, last Wednesday.
The police said that the girls, who reportedly told him that they were returning to the Essequibo Coast at the time of their arrest, were dressed in civilian clothing and were in the vicinity of the Parika area.
Shufiela Amondia Natram and her friend, Vivian Hermeline Ann George, went missing, after a social encounter at a hotel at Reliance. The girls were said to be imbibing alcoholic beverages at the time.
According to police reports, on Wednesday last, both fourth formers told their guardians that they were taking a trip to the city. The two girls, yesterday, were placed in police custody and questioned.
Today Kaieteur News, after a visit at the Anna Regina Police station, observed the teenagers in the company of their parents and guardian at the Anna Regina Police station.
Police said that the girls would be further questioned, before being released into the custody of their parents and guardian.
