Rudolph Mitchell was once again in winners’ row when he out-walked a competitive field of race walkers when the Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club (CSTC) staged a 10K race walk to commemorate World Environment Day around the inner circuit of the National Park on Sunday June 6 last.
Richard Lewis romped home second while Maurice Fagundes continues to defy his age, closing off the podium positions in the third place and so did Harold Debidyal who walked in first in the veteran category.
Walter Wyles and Fred Augustus finished in the second and third positions respectively in this category. Predictably, Donna Ramkissoon was the first female to cross the finishing line.
The various winners received trophies and medals donated by P&P Insurance Brokers and Editor in Chief of the Linden Buzz newspapers, Harry Baptiste.
