Dear Editor,
On Sunday June 6th around 13:05 (1:05pm) I was running through the local channels to see what was showing and I paused at CH 65 to see what the host of a programme I believe is called Gharam Massala, was talking about.
The man was thanking all the sponsors for supporting his programme and gives special big thanks to the Stag Beer for coming on “board”. Mr. Editor I wasn’t troubled by that but to my astonishment the man started encourage the drivers to drink two beers only if they are driving, because if they drink anymore that will be beyond the legal amount to drink and drive.
Mr. Editor with so many accidents being caused by careless and drunk driver, the host chose to encourage drivers to drink only two beers and drive because they are not allow to drink more instead of asking them not to drink and drive.
I have no problem with these so call local hosts that we have in Guyana, but it’s high time some sort of training school should open, so that they could be trained to speak properly and what they should say and what they shouldn’t because, most times when you listened to them you always end up laughing because of some of the garbage that ended up escaping from their mouths.
