The Business School gets Int’l Accreditation for ICM courses

The ranks of business professionals in Guyana now have another internationally accredited learning path to higher qualifications.The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) has recently accredited The Business School on Brickdam.
The ICM which is recognized in over 130 countries is one of the premier professional bodies for Commercial and Business Development Managers and Professionals.
The Business School offers instruction in a number of areas at several different levels, starting at the secondary level and going to a number of professional levels. In seeking to do so they have begun to offer professional development courses that can be used to gain admission into compatible University programmes around the world.
ICM, according to a Press Release from the Business School, is recognized as an ‘international examining board for professional business and management studies’.
There are a range of subject areas to choose from including, accounting and finance, tourism and development, marketing and advertising as well as project management and export.
Depending on the grades of students taking these courses, holders of the ICM Professional Level Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Graduate Diploma awards, can be accepted into a number of undergraduate and post-graduate degree programmes offered by universities around the globe.
For local students, The Business School is offering such opportunities through their batch of professional courses.
Those courses are Business Studies, Human Resource Development, Journalism and Media Studies, Legal Studies, Management Studies, Maritime Management. Also offered are programmes under the headings of marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, Project Management and even Public Sector Management.
Students qualifying in those areas can then utilize their qualifications for further entry to universities both at home and abroad.
The ICM Certificate Awards can be used to apply for first year entry in a relevant degree programme. ICM Diploma Awards will allow for application to the second year of a relevant degree programme.
And the ICM Advanced Diploma Awards will allow students to apply for direct entry into the final year of any relevant three year degree programme.
