The Guyana Blind Cricket Association will be sending a team to represent Guyana in the fifth Regional West Indies Blind Cricket Championship scheduled for June 5 to June 16, next, in Barbados.
Yesterday, Food for the Poor (Guyana) Inc., donated a quantity of cricket gear (bats, batting gloves and wicket keeping gloves) as well as food items, sneakers and hygiene packages for those persons who will be attending this event.
These items were handed over yesterday at the Festival City Office boardroom.
Handing over these items were the Executive Director Leon Davis; Fundraising Manager Otis Vanlewin, and CFO Melissa McRae.
Collecting the Items on behalf of the Guyana Blind Association was Mark Harper and two teammates.
