The Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club Gizmos & Gadgets First Division Team on Monday last made three donations towards the development of cricket in the ancient county of Berbice.
The donations were made to the Port Mourant Cricket Club, Disabled Peoples’ Network and the Academy for Excellence Cricket Club. The 2009 Guyana Cricket Board Club of the Year First Division Team handed over three trophies and medals to the historic Port Mourant Cricket Club to assist the club to host a fund raising cricket tournament, while the Disabled People’s Network received a financial donation and some other items to host the first ever blind cricket match in Berbice.

educational materials to the Academy for Excellence Club for their first ever summer camp for over 160 youths in the Corentyne Villages of Hogstye and Lancaster.
Organising Secretary of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Ravindranauth Kissoonlall disclosed that the Gizmos & Gadgets Team made the donation under their personal developmental programme which seeks to teach the players the importance of being proper role models and assisting others to fulfill dreams.
The total donations were worth $120,000 and Mr. Kissoonlall praised the team for reaching out and making a positive difference. Senior player Ravi Narine in handing over the donations wished the three clubs the best and expressed the hope that one day they would reach the same status as the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club.
