Priyanna Ramdhani captures two titles in Independence Badminton tourney

The Guyana Badminton Association West Indian Sports Complex Annual Independence Junior Singles Tournament was played off on Wednesday last at the Queens College Badminton Courts.
In action were some of Guyana’s Top Junior Players. Priyanna Ramdhani was among the outstanding list as she claimed the Under-11 and U-13 Girls singles titles.
The Results of the Matches played are:
Under-11 Girls Singles Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Rebecca Low: 21-6,21-4
Under-11 Boys Singles Finals: Ajave Singh defeated Shane Shewjattan: 21-19,11-21,8-21
Under-13 Girls Singles Finals: Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Varsha Boodram: 21-8,21-12; Third Place went to Rebecca Low
Under-13 Boys Singles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Fabian Bainchini: 21-4,21-5; Third Place went to Ajave Singh who defeated Ryan Amir: 21-19,20-22,16-21
Under-15 Girls Singles Finals: Jonelle Europe defeated Priyanna Ramdhani: 21-17,21-12; Third Place went to Angelica Holder who defeated Famke Van Dijk: 21-14,5-21,14-21
Under-15 Boys Singles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Andrew Peroune: 21-10,23-20; Third Place went to Christopher Shewjattan who defeated Sanjave Singh: 21-10,21-19
The Presentation to the winners, runner-ups and third placed finishers will take place next week.
