Local golfers will defy the current inclement weather to compete in the Banks Light Beer Medal Play golf tournament today at the Lusignan Golf Club
Clifford Reis, Chairman of Banks DIH, an ardent golf player offered to sponsor the tournament to keep the players in a competitive mode. Reis will lead a field of close to 35 golfers in the one-day classic.
Among the other players expected to compete are Ian Gouveia, Lester Alvis, Patrick Prashad, Mike Mangal, Mike Guyadin, Imran Khan, Carlos Adams, Chatterpaul Deo, Christine Sukhram, Maurice Solomon, Jerome Khan, Mark Lashley, Gavin Todd, Alfred Semple, Boloram Deo, Joaan Deo, William Walker, Ronald Bulkan, Brian Hackett, Muraff Arjune and Mel Sankies.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers as well as Nearest to the Pin.
Tee off is at 12:30 hours.
