Grandmother distressed about missing grandson

A distraught grandmother is seeking the assistance of the law enforcement agencies and citizens in locating her 14-year-old grandson who followed a friend and ran away from home last Monday.
According to the 55-year-old grandmother, Claire Haynes, both parents of her grandson, Kareem Haynes, had died, and since she has had Kareem in her care. However, he was disciplined recently which might have contributed to him running away.
The grandmother explained, he was previously bullied on the roadway and was robbed of his schoolbag while walking home from Queenstown Community High where he attends, and since then he refused to attend school until she could have bought a new schoolbag. She then chided him and he was rude in his behaviour and was disciplined.
Claire disclosed last Monday, that Kareem had a bath and dressed to leave her home at 22 John Street Werk-en-Rust, and never returned. She had later learnt from another parent whose 17-year-old son also collaborated with her grandson to runaway, that they left to travel to Mahdia.
She revealed that her grandson is asthmatic and that one of his lungs is damaged, and he is incapable of taking care of himself in anyway.
She said that reports were made at the Brickdam Police Station and to the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security; however, there was no development in finding him.” I would like the police in the area to help in finding him.”
“Since he gone I ain’t eat and I ain’t sleeping, he gone with no clothes no nothing what he gon use what gon happen to he.” A distressed Claire said, “If anybody can find him and bring him down I will pay them, if I know how to go there I would have already went.”
