Fresh from a win in the Labour Day Open and the Arrival Day championships, former national scrabble champion, Fred Collins is highly favoured to net the triple feat when the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) stages the Independence Open tomorrow.
The tournament would be held at the chamber of Commerce Waterloo Street, South Cummingsburg starting at 10:00hrs. Registration starts at 09:30hrs. Players are reminded that in keeping with a unanimous decision by executive members, the first tile would be played promptly at 10:00hrs and persons arriving late will commence their game at a disadvantage of playing with less time.
Registration fees remain at $500 per contestant.
