Executives of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF), along with officials of the Suriname and French Guiana Football Associations, met yesterday at the GFF headquarters building under the Chairmanship of the President of the GFF Colin Klass to finalise plans for the Inter Guyana Club Football Championship Cup tournament which will be held in Guyana from August 25 to 29.
Two previous tournaments were held in French Guyana and Suriname and this tournament in August will complete the three countries cycle. The second cycle will commence in 2011.
The Meeting agreed on the Rules and Regulations for the tournament, the four Clubs:- Geldar (French Guyana), Inter Moengae (Suriname) and Alpha United and the Guyana Defence Force (Guyana) which will participate; the playing venues and accommodation for the visiting teams.
The visitors were taken on inspection tours to the playing venues and the hotels which will provide accommodation for their teams.
During the next cycle it was agreed that consideration will also be given to the inclusion of competition among the three Countries U-15 and Female Football Teams.
The visitors who arrived on Saturday will depart Guyana today.
