A man is currently in police custody assisting with investigation after a search on his home unearthed some marijuana seedlings as well and grown plants.
This newspaper was informed that the search was conducted some time after noon on Tuesday at a house in William Street, Kitty.
According to a source close to the investigation, acting on a tip off police swooped down on the premises where they found the prohibited plant being cultivated.
Sources say that several seedlings were also found in the man’s home as were dried leaves and seeds.
Meanwhile, later in the evening yet another raid was conducted in the William Street Kitty area.
During that raid several persons were arrested at what many call a known drug yard in the area.
