A 37-year-old Corentyne man who was linked to the discovery of the body of a man in a septic tank last year was found dead with multiple wounds about his body on Saturday night.
The body of Ernest McAllister, a labourer of Number 79 Village, Corriverton, was discovered lying face-down a short distance from a wedding house at Old Dam, Crabwood Creek around 21:00 hours. Police in a press release stated that McAllister’s body bore what appeared to be stab wounds.
This newspaper understands that McAllister had attended the wedding house and was accosted by several persons following an argument.
Investigators believe that he fled from a beating and collapsed a short distance away.
Eight persons are in custody assisting with investigations. McAllister’s body is at the Skeldon Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
McAllister was on bail having been charged with aiding and abetting in the murder of a Corentyne man whose body was discovered in a septic tank last year.
