Brazilian Jet Skier & Stunts man Alexandra Sampiaio already here
Regatta fans and lovers of water sports are in for an exciting time this weekend when SASS Promotions hosts what is anticipated to be a fabulous 2-day Regatta/Powerboat & Jet Ski competition at the Splashmin’s Resort, Linden Soesdyke Highway.
Head of the Promotional Group Shalliza Allie has disclosed that all systems are in place for this weekend with the main attraction, internationally renowned Brazilian Jet Skier & Stunts man Alexandra Sampiaio already here and getting accustomed to the terrain at Splashmin’s.
Dubbed ‘fast and furious’, this two-day activity will feature 12 to 15 events daily with over 2 million dollars in cash prizes on offer.
Additionally, there will be a 4-team Twenty20 cricket competition featuring teams from Springlands on the Corentyne, De Edward Village, Parika and a Splashmin’s All Star selection. At stake in this competition is $200,000 in cash and other prizes.
Allie noted they are working hard to make the event an annual affair. “We have worked hard to make this a great event and to prove that it can work despite negative comments that a regatta is impossible at Splashmins Resort. We urge persons to come out with their families and support this venture.”

Among the events listed for competition from 11:30hrs are 3 Jet Ski and 90HP races, four 225HP powered boats along 3 Jet Ski stunt shows by Alexandra Sampiaio. A total of just over one million dollars will be handed out on day one.
