The Rotary Club of Georgetown yesterday handed over a set of literature books it had received from the Chairman of Food For the Poor, Paul Chan-A-Sue, in what was the first of several other similar ventures to be undertaken.
Former President of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, Affeeze Khan, made the presentation to the Secondary Coordinator of the school, Cheryl Andrews, and told Kaieteur News briefly that other donations are scheduled.
“This exercise will continue in Linden and Lethem high schools, and several other schools in Georgetown,” Khan said, adding that it is a venture aimed at encouraging students to read more and thus improve their vocabulary.
