Rockaway and Trophy Stall played to a tie initially, by Trophy Stall rebounded to win in the super over when action in the Rockaway Auto Sales Softball cricket competition continued last weekend at Lusignan on the East Coast of Demerara.
Trophy Stall batted and made 91 for 5 in 10 overs. (Fazil Rafeek 30 runs; bowling for Rockaway Sacikchan Jagdeo 2 for 22 off 2 overs)
Rockaway in reply made 91 all out in 10 overs, Sacikchan Jagdeo 23 runs; bowling for Trophy Stall (Yoraj Prarimraj 2 for 11 off 2 overs)
In the super over Trophy Stall scored 15 for 1 wicket; Rockaway replied with 11 for 2.
Enterprise were beaten by Regal XI by 6 wickets. Enterprise 78 for 5 off 10 overs (Devindra Persaud 27 not out; bowling for Regal XI Troy Sanasie 2 for 6 off 2 overs)
Regal XI 80 for 4 off 8.1 overs (Richard Latif 24; Bowling for Enterprise Vicky Roopnarine, 1 for 7 off 2 overs.
Annandale West recorded a 5-wicket triumph over Cena XI. Cena team 50 all out off 9.3 overs. (Mark Singh 10; Martin Hookum 3 for 7 off 2 overs)
Annandale 51 for 5 off 5.2 overs. (Mark Seebarran 15 not out; Zaman Singh 1 for 12 off 1.2 overs)
Superior Wood beat Strathspey by 8 wickets. Strathspey XI 50 all out off 10 overs. (Mahendra Dookie 7; Balram Roopnarine 5 for 9 off 2 overs including a Hat-trick)
Superior Wood 53 for 2 off 6.2 overs to win. (Mick Mohabir 20 runs; Mahendra Dookie 1 for 14 off 1.2 overs)
El Commandante Auto Sales took a 27 run win over Young Guns. El Commandahte Auto Sales 73 all out off 8.4 overs. (Avenash Persaud 23 not out; Devon Thomas 2 for 8 off 10 overs)
Young Guns 46 for 9 off 10 overs. (Bobbychand Roopchand 18; Maxie Singh 2 for 3 off 10 overs)
Sandust recorded a 20 run triumph over Sting XI. Sandust 81 for 8 off 10 overs. (Devendra Chatterpaul 24 runs; David Singh 3 for 10 off 2 overs)
Sting XI 61 for 5 off 10 overs (Eresto King 18: Vishnu Deochand 2 for 6 off 2 overs).
And Upsetters failed to show up for their contest with Trophy Stall B, handing the latter side a walkover.
