… Mahaicony youth’s execution
As police continue their investigation into Sunday’s shooting in Albouystown, which left 20- year-old Ryan Brimmer dead, they are yet to make an arrest.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that they have some idea of who they are looking for but they have failed to locate him. Ryan Brimmer, of Zeskendren, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital some time after 01:00 hours Sunday. It is believed that Brimmer’s killing was a case of mistaken identity.
The killer who was on a bicycle reportedly approached Brimmer and two other relatives on Hill Street, Albouystown, while they were offloading scrap iron from a cart.
An eyewitness said that the killer, before opening fire said “Yeah, Buck, I got you now…I tell you is war y’all start”.
However, Buck was not shot then, but instead managed to flee after hearing the first gunshot. This newspaper was told that the incident stemmed from an incident involving Brimmer’s uncles, Leonard and Randolph Allicock.
The Allicocks were charged for the murder of Wendell Tappin last January. Tappin was chopped and beaten to death, reportedly by the Allicocks.
Initially, Tappin’s family disclosed that he was killed during an argument over a cellular phone.
However, the Allicock family had claimed that three members of the Tappin family had brutally raped one of their relatives.
They claimed that nothing ever came of the matter. The police shortly after issued a wanted bulletin for Steve Allicock. To date Steve Allicock has not been arrested.
Ever since that incident, the Allicock family said they have received numerous death threats from the Tappin family, who since the death of their loved one reportedly vowed to get even.
