The Chris Gayle led West Indies side will no longer face new comers Afghanistan in what was scheduled to be their first of two warm-up games at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence before the 20/20 World Cup starts at the same venue with a double-header on April 30.
While entrance to the warm-up matches is free fans were required to acquire tickets to gain entry into the venue while only 50% of the ground will be used to accommodate fans.
Debutants Ireland face-off with the West Indies on April 30 in the inaugural International match under lights in Guyana and will have a practice game against New Zealand from 13:30hrs at Providence.
Ireland will play Afghanistan at the same venue the next day from 13:30hrs before West Indies take on New Zealand from 17:00hrs in a Day/Night game.
