The semi-finalists of the Victory Valley Royals Secondary Schools Basketball Championship in Linden were decided after the last games of consequence Friday at the Mackenzie Sports Club Basketball Court. Linden Foundation defeated Linden Technical Institute (LTI) 54-47 with Jamaal Watson scoring 18 points for Linden Foundation with support from Alwin Webster and Theodore Tappin, who finished with 14 and 13 points respectively.
Rosco Wade was the only player in double figures for LTI with 26 points.
In game two, New Silver City Secondary won 43-32 against Mackenzie High School (MHS) with Marlon Pollydore and Yannick Primo scoring 14 points each. Sheldon Noel had 13 points for MHS in its second defeat.
However, MHS will play Linden Foundation and New Silver City will play Kwakwani in the semi-final of the tournament, which is set for Monday.
