The 2010 Spready’s Bakery Under-19, 50-Over Cricket Competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board, continued recently and Jason Bunsraj became the latest centurion of the competition when he slammed 117 for Young Star of No. 70. His knock which included 22 fours, was the backbone of his team’s score of 361 all out in 42 Overs against Skeldon Community Centre. When Skeldon replied, the Young Star bowlers medium pacer Kamesh Sugrim (4 for 17) and left arm spinners Omesh Kumar (3 for 2) and Chetram Nourang (2 for 4) bowled them out for 63.
Parmanand Parasram’s 51 and Vedram Pahalad’s 27 helped Johanna Young Ivory reach 174 in 36.2 Overs against No. 43 Scorpion Pahalad then came back with his medium pace to take 6 for 20 from 8 Overs which backed up by pacer Parasram taking 3 for 15 from 6 Overs, saw No. 43 bowled out for 144 in reply.
Pacer Avinash Dhaniram of the Guysuco Training Centre took 6 for 22 from 8 Overs to help bowl out Tamran Root of Hampshire for 128 and then top-scored with 28 to steer the trainees to a two-wicket victory.
Pacer Krishna Shewtahal took 5 for 11 from 7 Overs and offspinner Wagar Hassan 3 for 13 from 5 Overs for No. 2 to bowl out Rosignol United for 61. No. 2 went on to win by 6 wickets.
Also having good allround matches were Delroy Wilson of paradise Invaders (52 and 3 for 38) and Keon Sinclair of Gibraltar/Courtland (53 and 4 for 30).
Deodat Singh of Blairmont Community Centre was the other batsman to score a half century.

At No. 43, Johanna Young Ivory beat No. 43 Scorpion by 30 runs. Johanna Young Ivory 174 in 36.2 Overs with Parmanand Parasram 51, Vedram Pahalad 27, Martin Dean 2 for 49. No. 43 Scorpion 144 in 25 Overs with Roger Pottaya 26. Vedram Pahalad 6 for 20, Parmanand 3 for 15.
At Hampshire, Guysuco Training Centre beat Tamarind Root by 2 wickets. Tamarind Root 128 in 20 Overs with Raj Ramjass 33, Avinash Dhaniram 6 for 22, Leven David 2 for 34. Guysuco Training Centre 129 for 8 in 21 Overs with Avinash Dhaniram 28, Videsh Beharry 3 for 35, Seegobin Joseph 3 for 45.
At Rosignol, No. 2 beat Rosignol United by 6 wickets. Rosignol United 61 in 20 Overs with Krishna Shewtahal 5 for 11, Waqar Hassan 3 for 13. No. 2, 62 for 4 in 15 Overs with Marlon Dindial 2 for 22.
At Paradise, Paradise beat Rainbow Generation by 8 runs. Paradise 151 in 26 Overs with Delroy Wilson 52. Rainbow Generation 143 in 22 Overs with Gordon Grant 32, Delroy Wilson 3 for 38.
At Courtland, Gibraltar/Courtland beat Rose Hall Town Pepsi B by 54 runs. Gibraltar/Courtland 166 in 33 Overs with Keon Sinclair 53, Surendra Kissoonlall 4 for 40, Kumar Madray 3 for 18. Rose Hall Town Pepsi B 112 in 27 Overs with Surendra Kissoonlall 43, Keon Sinclair 4 for 30, Melroy Williams 3 for 36, Dwight Crawford 2 for 33.
At Blairmont, D’Edward beat Blairmont Community Centre by 67 runs.
