Guyana’s Lady Jags who demolished the challenges of Suriname and St. Vincent & the Grenadines in the first round of the Caribbean Women’s Gold Cup qualifying competition will engage hosts Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and St. Lucia in group F from May 10-14 in the Twin Island Republic.

The Guyanese will take on Barbados in their first game on Monday May 10, St. Lucia on Wednesday May 12 and the female Soca Warriors on Friday May 14.
According to the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), it was necessary to reconfigure the groups and the schedule that was previously announced as a result of travel difficulties for Barbados and Haiti within the Caribbean.
Originally slated for Group F with Guyana and Haiti to play in Marabella, Trinidad, Antigua and Haiti were moved to Group G in Cuba to play Puerto Rico and the host. Additionally, St. Luca and Barbados were moved to Group F with Trinidad and Guyana.
Group G will also be play from May 10-14 in Havana Cuba between the hosts, Haiti, Antigua & Barbuda and Puerto Rico.
The group winners will qualify for the Women’s Gold Cup in late October early November at a venue yet-to-be announced while the group winners, best runner-up and host Puerto Rico will qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games set for July 17 to August 1 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.
Antigua and Barbuda won a drawing of lots with the Dominican Republic to book their place in the second round. The two countries were forced into the draw after they finished tied for the best second-placed team among the five first-round groups, both finishing with three points, a goal difference of plus-1 with four goals scored and three allowed.
Debbie Minguell, assistant to Caribbean Football Union Acting General Secretary Neville Ferguson, was the individual who drew Antigua’s name.
