Natasha Gangoo is captain, Shemaine Campbelle & Tremayne Smartt on WI duties
West Berbice player Natasha Gangoo has been named Captain of the Berbice Female Inter County team according to a release issued by Berbice Cricket Board (BCB).
Gangoo will be at the helm of a side that will be without the services of first choice Captain and West Indies player Shemaine Campbelle as well as fellow International Tremayne Smartt who will be unavailable due to a camp for the West Indies Females.
According to the BCB, “It is quite surprising that the Guyana Cricket Board would organise the only senior female tournament when the country’s only current West Indies players are unavailable.”
Gangoo’s deputy is Nikita Toney while the rest of the squad reads; Erva Giddings, Katana Mentore, Steffi Rodney, Phaffiana Millington, Nirmala Sewdat, Shenella McBean, Melanie Henry, Jacquelin Singh, Sabrina Munroe, Tracey Miller (wicketkeeper), Tessa Park and Oneicha Tello.
The standby players are Ceylon Daniels, Hermala Sewdat, Sherry Ann Fraser and Sherica Campbell.
Assistant Secretary of the Berbice Cricket Board Carol Nurse would serve as Manager while Winston Smith is the Coach.
