Buddies Gym & Fazia’s Collection on board
As plans for the staging of the Second Edition of the Hugh Ross Classic (HRC) Body Building and Fitness Championships intensifies ahead of the May 2, 2010, competition date, corporate Guyana have already began to flex their financial muscles to ensure a successful hosting.
Yesterday, Buddy’s Gym (Sheriff Street Campbellville) and Fazia’s Collection located on America & Longden Streets) weighed in with their support for the championships.
Buddies Gym Manager Seelall Pharbo said that they are grateful to be on board with the HRC for the first time and are looking forward to the event on an annual basis.
“Knowing that Buddy’s is one of the biggest Gyms in Guyana we appreciate very much that we have been given such an opportunity to support the sport. We have a proud record of supporting other disciplines and we will continue to do so in the future.”
Fazia’s Collection Sales Supervisor Marisa Beckles informed that their entity was on board with the Classic from the inaugural year in 2008 and had no hesitation when they were approached to be on board again.
“We see this contribution as a means of giving back to the society and sport is an ideal medium to reach out. We note that the best bodybuilders in Guyana will be competing for the prizes on offer and we would like to wish them all the best on the night of the competition.”
Athletes Coordinator for the HRC Leroy George expressed thanks on behalf of the Committee to both Buddy’s Gym and Fazia’s Collection.
“We are delighted to have your support and we want to assure you that this championship will definitely be bigger and better than the first one in 2008.”
