The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) has called to practice 40 players to commence preparations for the upcoming North American & Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) Under-19 15-a-side Tournament which will be hosted in the Bahamas from August14-21.
The championship is expected to be contested by teams from the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Bermuda, Bahamas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana.
The squad will train at the National Park Rugby Ground every Tuesday and Thursday at 16:30 hrs and on Saturdays at 16:00 hrs under National Coach Clinton Clarke and his Assistant Cornel Millington, starting today.
Those called to the preparatory squad are: Akeem Been, Alister Peters, Allain Crawford, Carl Lewis, Christopher Nicholas, Clinton Mars, Clive Richmond, Colwyn McKoy, Dane Peters, Dennis Alexander, Dwayne Jackson, Grantley Williams, Jamal Adams, Jarel Canzius, Jermaine Abel, Jermaine Jacobs, Joseph Weatherspoon, Jumoke David, Kevin Joseph, Kevin Nichols, Kevon David, Kipil Lakra, Levi Chase, Mark Burnett, Mark Massiah, Moarrio Whyte, Nicholas Northey, Richard Hohenkirk, Rickell Lindie, Rickford Cummings, Ronald Lilley, Rondell McArthur, Rudolph Ogle, Ryan Goodluck, Terry Adams, Treon Emptage, Trevor Mathieson, Twain Hemerding, Vallon Adams and Yannick Jones.
