Was confusion Easter Monday. People buy dem kite since Saturday and dem prepare. Dem wake up and all of a sudden rain start. De farmers cuss. Some of dem phone Robert and ask he why he didn’t think that once Guyanese got to enjoy demself rain does fall. If s cricket, is rain; if is some open air party is rain; if is anything really nice is rain. De only time rain don’t all is when dem political party got open air meeting. Dem boys seh that rain can fall whole day, once is a political meeting in de night de place does clear up.
Well was kite-flying and is rain. Some people cook up a storm de night before. De place dry and people want rain but yesterday dem same people want sun.
Dem get sun in de end but not de kind dem had all de time because de rain clouds always been threatening. Dem boys seh4 that dem sure was obeah that keep away de rain because dem see people flying kite like dem never see in along time. Even police been flying kite.
But while people flying kite de people at de Waterfalls paper wondering bout dem boss. He go to a place wheh earthquake strike when he was there and since then nobody ain’t hear from he. Dem don’t know if he fall in a crevice, or if he panic and run in de ocean or if he trap under some rubble. People calling he and ain’t getting no answer; dem sending text and he still not answering. Dem boys wondering if he run and lef de paper or if he now suffering de effects from de plane ride when de plane develop problems two time and fly, first to Puerto Rico and then to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dem boys seh that dem calling Interpol and de FBI because without de boss is trouble. Is no pay, no cussing and of course, no Freddie fuh hurt Bharrat head.
Then again, some people might get happy.
