Two brave bandits yesterday raided the home of attorney at law, Gwendolyn Bristol, carting off close to $2M in cash and jewellery in a daring midday robbery.
The Counsel’s home is located just a few doors from the Sparendaam Police Station and the robbery occurred while Ms Bristol was attending court at Sparendaam.
Reports reaching this newspaper stated that the attorney’s maid was in the yard doing her chores when the two bandits brandishing guns confronted her.
They forced her into the upper flat of the house where they bound and gagged her before proceeding to ransack the property.
Police sources say that the bandits escaped with $500,000, four ounces of raw gold and an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
The matter was reported to the police but so far no one has been arrested.
