The nation’s top scrabble players are currently engaged in earnest preparation for the Tri-Nation Scrabble tournament between this country, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados slated for Trinidad and Tobago from April 2-5 next.

Among this country’s representatives are national and former national champions, Abigail McDonald and Fred Collins, respectively.
Last Friday morning, President of the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP), Moen Gafoor received a set of uniforms to outfit the players from Managing Director of the Oasis Café, situated Carmichael Street, William Walker.
Mr. Gafoor expressed deep gratitude for the support even as he pledged to train diligently to procure top honours.
In turn, Mr. Walker said that he is pleased to render such support. He said that he is impressed by the huge strides made by the scrabble players over the past years.
Other members of the team are James Krakowsky, Ulric Harris, Orlando Michael and Ewart Adams among others.
