National Blind cricketer Oliver Kerr yesterday was bowled over by the charming Philippa Wilson when the couple got married at the Olivet Seventh Day Adventist church in Durban Backlands, Georgetown.
The reception was attended by his cricket teammates, relatives, friends and well wishers. Kerr represented Guyana in Regional Blind cricket in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and was a member of the West Indies Blind team which participated in the 2006 Blind Cricket World Cup in Pakistan.
The well liked Kerr wrote his name in the record books of Blind cricket by scoring the first century by a B1 (totally blind) player in Regional Blind cricket.
In that match in 2006 in Barbados, Kerr and Guyana Skipper Patrick Howard shared in a record 412-run partnership against the Windward Islands.
Kaieteur News extends best wishes for a happy life of togetherness to the newly weds.
