Robin Holder, who was wounded last week Wednesday during a shootout with police, was remanded to prison Thursday on two charges related to that incident.
The 19-year-old of North East La Penitence was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm as well as unlawful possession of ammunition during his appearance in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
He was refused bail and remanded to prison until July 6.
It is alleged that on the night of March 17, 2010, ranks from a police patrol were approaching a car parked in the Texaco Service Station on Mandela Avenue, when Thomas and another occupant shot at them.
Police alleged that they returned fire, hitting Thomas in the hip and groin.
The ranks reportedly recovered a black .38 revolver (serial number 2173906) with five rounds from the suspect.
