Twenty-nine year-old Quacy John, who was shot in his head on Thursday evening last, is currently in a stable condition and resting at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
John said that he has a fair idea who his attacker is.
The man said that he was standing in his yard with a friend and his brother when he noticed two men walking on a dam not far from his home. He said that he did not pay any mind to them but he recognised a man called ‘Yahoo’.
“I know I see two men and I recognise one, then all of a sudden they disappear so me and me brother and me friend continue talking in de yard. The next thing I hear is something like a gunshot and I fall…de person who shoot me come from behind the yard,” John recalled.
He added that after the gunshot rang out everybody ran to safety as he fell bleeding from a wound to the back of his head.
He said he has every reason to believe that his attacker is a man called ‘Yahoo’ the same person he saw walking on the dam moments before the shooting.
“Me and this man ‘Yahoo’ had a talking in 2007 because he had some money fuh me and when I talk to he, it cause a problem and I feel he is targeting me,” John said.
The man said that he was also shot on Christmas Eve night last by an unknown gunman but once again he said he was suspicious of the same person.
John added that he is feeling much better but is waiting on a CT scan result to know if any severe internal damage has been done. He said he was told by doctors that the bullet exited.
