Spready’s Bakery Under-19 Berbice Cricket starts today

The Berbice Spready’s Bakery Under-19, 50-Over Cricket Competition gets started this weekend with the first and second rounds and all matches commence at 09:30hrs.
A record forty four teams are registered to participate and in an effort to limit travelling expenses for the teams, the competition will be played in seven geographical zones in which the round-robin format will be used to determine the best teams to advance to the quarter-finals.
The zones are West Coast Berbice, West Bank Berbice, East Bank Berbice/New Amsterdam/West Canje, East Canje/East Coast, Lower Corentyne, Central Corentyne, Black Bush Polder and Upper Corentyne.
Saturday’s first round fixtures:
Zone A (West Coast, Berbice)
1. Bush Lot sports Complex vs No. 4 at Bush Lot
2. Rainbow Generation vs Achievers at Seafield
