Digicel, Guyana’s leading mobile communications operator will be kicking off its highly anticipated FIFA promotion today March 27 at the Parade Ground. This launch event takes the form of a football competition which will see eight of Guyana’s best “street football” teams going head to head for a chance to claim the first prize.
Digicel Head of Marketing, Jacqueline James, says the competition promises to be quite thrilling. “I have seen the teams in action and they are all very good. Saturday’s (today’s) matches will definitely be filled with energy and excitement.”
James is also encouraging persons to come out to the event to get first hand information on Digicel’s grand FIFA promotion. “I would not reveal all the details of the promotion now, but I assure you, it will be very attractive.”
The teams competing are Kingston, Alberttown, West Ruimveldt, Tiger Bay, Albouystown, Campbellville, Lodge and Lacytown and they are all hoping for victory in this evening. This exciting 5-A-Side knock out competition kicks off at 18:00hrs.
Meanwhile, those in attendance will get a chance to win fantastic FIFA items.
