The East Coast Cricket Board President’s Cup 40-over Cricket Competition has reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals stage.
Lusignan Sports Club and LBI ‘A’ have already advanced to the semi-finals, while in the quarter-finals, Buxton, Enmore, Enterprise and Ogle are to clash in the hope of joining LSC and LBI.
Buxton will clash with Enmore at LBI Ground tomorrow, while Enterprise hosts Ogle also tomorrow in the other quarter-final game.
The semi-final has been fixed for March 27. Lusignan will host the winner of the Buxton and Enmore clash, while LBI will host the winner of the Enterprise and Ogle game. The final is slated for Sunday March, 28 at the Lusignan Sports Club ground.
Meanwhile, the Competitions Committee plan to hold a super league competition, with the top eight teams participating in a round robin competition. The eight teams selected are Ogle, LBI ‘A’, Lusignan ‘A’, Better Hope, Buxton ‘A’, Enterprise ‘A’, Enmore and Unity.
These teams will have to make themselves available to play on Saturdays and Sundays.
All other teams will be zoned in the minor league competition and all new teams wishing to participate in this competition should contact Mr. S. Jailal Tel #622 5899 or Mr. R. Barton.626 -0223.
All teams are required to have their grounds available and their squad ready for the CARIB 20/20 competition to start shortly. All teams must uplift registration forms from Mr. S Jailal, Mr. N. Manbodh or Mr. R. Barton to be submitted by March 31 to the Competition Committee.
