The Lousia Row man who was nabbed in a North Ruimveldt house with kidnap victim Andre Barnes is likely to appear in court this week.
Police said that the man, identified as Ronaldo Marquez, may be charged by Tuesday.
But it is unclear whether a woman who resides in the same house will be charged as well. She was detained early Saturday and was still in custody yesterday.
Meanwhile, police are still trying to track down the woman’s nephew and another man who are said to be linked to the kidnap plot.
Barnes, 26, of Supply, East Bank Demerara, was kidnapped at gunpoint on Friday night while visiting his girlfriend in West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme.
He was subsequently rescued from a North
Ruimveldt home shortly after the kidnappers had contacted his family demanding $50 M for his release.
