Teenager Ayodha Kishore captured the Guyana Oil Company (Guyoil) Medal Play Golf tournament last Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club, East Coast Demerara.
Kishore recorded a 67 from a gross 82 playing off a handicap 15 to triumph in the annual Guyoil feature.
Mike Mangal claimed the second position with a net 68 playing from a gross 75 playing off a 7 handicap, while third place went to Muntaz Haniff who finished with a net 69 from a gross 85 playing off a 16 handicap.
Christine Sukhram was Nearest to the Pin.
Officials of the Lusignan Golf Club thanked Guyoil for returning this year to sponsor another tournament.
According to the LGC President, Guyoil continues to be a very good corporate citizen and remains a faithful partner of the sport of golf in Guyana.
Meanwhile, this coming weekend’s tournament will be sponsored by Continental Group of Companies of Industrial Site, Ruimveldt. Keen competition is anticipated.
