Winners of the just concluded Banks DIH Inaugural “One Tip Two Tip” Softball Cricket competition were presented with their prizes at a presentation ceremony at Banks DIH Sports Club, Thirst Park on Friday.
Captain of the victorious National Milling Company (NAMILCO) team Perwesh Bhola received the winner’s trophy from Banks Sports Club President David Carto while Tyrone Tyrell, Games Captain of Republic Bank was presented with the runner up trophy by Banks Sports Club manager Jimmy Ramnarayan.
Banks DIH Communications Manager, Troy Peters said that the tournament provided a great deal of entertainment for the players and spectators alike.
The one-day novelty event attracted six companies and according to Peters, it will be an annual feature.
He expressed gratitude to the competing teams and offered a special word of thanks to the female players that participated.
(NAMILCO) edged out Republic Bank Ltd. (RBL) to emerge winners of tournament last Sunday at Thirst Park ground.
The other competing teams were Citizens Bank, Parliament Office, Bureau of Standards and Guyana Geology and Mines Commission.
