A 22-year-old man from North Ruimveldt who allegedly stole two gold chains was remanded when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.
Clint Gobin of 3382 North Ruimveldt allegedly stole the gold chains from Brian De Santos on February 22.
He was unrepresented by attorney yesterday when the charge was read to him.
De Santos who was present in court, yesterday, said that on the day in question he was walking on Water Street when Gobin snatched his chain. The man said he started to run behind Gobin and a policeman also joined the chase.
