Former National Table Tennis Champion, Trevor Lowe, is mourning the death of his wife, Pinky, following a tragic vehicular accident in the border town of Nieuw Nickerie in neighbouring Suriname on Saturday.
The woman was a passenger of a white SUV which crashed into a tree after the driver, Patrice Andries, lost control of the vehicle as a result of a puncture to one of the wheels.
Lowe’s daughter, Erica, who was also in the vehicle is listed in a critical condition along with another male passenger who reportedly sustained a fractured back.
The Guyanese were on their way to the Surinamese capital, Paramaribo when the accident occurred.
