A large number of Employer’s tax returns have still not been submitted and the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has put systems in place to give businesses and others the possibility of doing so over this holiday weekend.
GRA’s Commissioner-General, Khurshid Sattaur, yesterday said that while taxpayers have responded positively so far to the statutory February 28 deadline, it is estimated that a significant percentage of returns is still outstanding.
GRA, noting the deadline tomorrow, said that a box will be placed at the Albert Street entrance of GRA’s Office.
Employers are reminded that the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for each employee must be stated on the form along with their name, address, period worked, total income and total tax deducted.
