Community Policing Groups from A,B,C,D and E Divisions along with a team from the Guyana Police Force (GPF) will be locked in intense battle tomorrow as they face off for top honours in the CCS Guyana Ltd. Challenge Trophy /Community Policing Inter-Division domino competition.
The venue for all the action is the Police Sports Club Pavilion, Eve Leary with double six-time set for 09:00hrs.
Sports Coordinator of the Ministry of Home Affairs, retired Assistant Commissioner Ovid Glasgow DSM said he is expecting intense competition among the teams and it is a hard call form the onset as to who will emerge as the top team.
On Thursday at their Head Office, Ruimveldt Georgetown, CCS Sales Representative Akbar Khan handed over the champion team trophy to Imtiaz Zafarali, Chairman of the National Community Policing Sports Committee.
Khan stated that his company was very pleased to provide the first place trophy and wishes the teams all the best. Zafarali and Glasgow expressed their gratitude to Khan and CCS for their support.
