Ahmad returned as Chairman of Wakenaam Cricket Committee

Sheikh Asif Ahmad was re-elected as Chairman of the Wakenaam Cricket Committee when the body held its Annual General Meeting Saturday evening at the Wakenaam Community Centre pavilion in Good Success.
Tulchan Pooran is the Vice Chairman while the Secretary is Zaheer Mohamed.
Bhawanie Persaud will serve as the treasurer and Lennie Mohamed the Assistant Secretary Treasurer.
Speaking after the elections, Ahmad, who is also the Treasurer of the Guyana Cricket Board and President of the Essequibo Cricket Board, thanked the clubs for electing him and said that the Igloo ice cream 40 overs competition will start shortly.
The Committee will name its various sub-committees at their first statutory meeting.
