Guyana National Basketball team, led by Eagles Compton Nicholson, played unbeaten on their 1968 tour of Boa Vista Brazil.
The Parade Ground Ballers started the Brazil Mission with an emphatic 43 to 28 points victory over Bare Basketball Club.
Skipper Compton Nicholson top scored with 18 points.
Guyana then humbled Notria 49 to 31 points – Ossie Devonish scored 13 points, Hewley Henry 11 points and Melroy Fitzalbert 10 points.
Roraima Basketball Club was next; they succumbed to the Parade Ground Stars 59 to 31 points.
Boa Vista selected team then lost 54 to 29 and for a second time Bare Basketball Club lost 56 to 30 points. In the final match of the tour, Guyana led by 24 points by Eagles Mike Brusche blew out Bonestis 61 to 18 points.
Mike Brusche had the best Guyanese aggregate with 66 points from six matches. Club mate Winston Joseph was next with 53 points. Royals Melroy Fitzalbert filled the third berth with 49 points.

This was the second National Team to visit Boa Vista after a Guyana team visited during April of 1962. Then British Guiana, under the guidance of Ravens player/coach Hewley Henry, the boys from Parade Ground made their inaugural Brazilian visit.
