Persons wanting to park their vehicles and motorcycles in the Botanical Gardens on Tuesday during Mashramani Celebrations will have to pay.
According to the National Parks Commission, which manages the Botanical Gardens, monies collected for the day will be used to offset expenses incurred in the cleaning up of the expected heavy garbage and debris left from the aftermath of picnicking activities association with Republic Day, February 23.
The Parks Commission disclosed that it will be distributing garbage bags free of cost to groups entering the park, with the hope to periodically collect these during the day to ease the clean up exercise.
Entrance to the Botanical Gardens will be through the western gate. Persons leaving will be required to use the eastern gate.
